This competency assessment helps OD and Change Leaders identify the extent to which they know and can apply essential knowledge and skills applicable to the practice of planning and implementing change initiatives.
The OD and Change Leadership Competency Assessment consists of 70 competency statements grouped into two competency categories, each with six subcategories:
Category One: Organization Development Competencies
Category Two: Change Leadership Competencies (The Big Six Leadership Competencies, Griffiths, 2010)
You are to consider each statement and use a Likert Scale to indicate the extent to which you agree or disagree with each statement based on your knowledge, skills, experience, and practices. The statements reflect knowledge and capabilities possessed by highly competent and senior OD and Change Management professionals. Unless you are a senior OD or IO practitioner, it is not likely that you possess all the knowledge noted or exhibit the skills that are listed. Be honest in your self-assessment. Inflating or underestimating your competencies does not benefit you. An accurate assessment provides helpful insights and direction for your career development.
